Time Based Kiln Drying is used to reduce the moisture content from wood.
The Pallet Company can accommodate your kiln drying requirements. Your timber can be placed in our kiln then heated to evaporate any excess moisture from the timber. The aim of this is to prevent excessive warping of sawn timber whilst reducing its final weight.
Due to kiln dried timber going through a wide variety of processes, pallets, lids and wooden crates used for export must be stamped with the correct heat treatment code to comply with the Heat Treatment ISPM15 standard. If your shipment arrives at the border and on inspection one single pallet, crate or lid is missing the correct stamp your entire shipment can be held back or rejected. This may then result in additional costs, inconvenience and not to mention a delay in customers receiving their goods.
The Pallet Company Limited – Happy to assist with your ISPM15 requirements!
